Rugby: France's adopted Kiwi Marsh to retire
Email this storyPrint this story 10:45AM Friday May 11, 2007
New Zealand-born French international rugby centre Tony Marsh will retire at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old Marsh has won 21 caps for his adopted country and was part of the 2002 Grand Slam-winning side.
Marsh arrived in France in 1998 and joined Clement, formerly Montferrand.
Before then, he won Super 12 titles with the Blues and Crusaders.
Marsh served three years residency in France before becoming eligible to play for Les Bleus in 2001.
Meanwhile, former New Zealand A prop Michael Collins has completed a switch from London Irish to Celtic League club, Glasgow Warriors.
Collins who left Waikato for London Irish in 2005 has signed a two-year deal with the Warriors, coached by fellow New Zealander Sean Lineen, a former Scottish international.
"Glasgow are playing good rugby at the moment and getting big results, so I'm keen to help them move even further forward," Collins told the Coventry Telegraph.
Lineen said Collins was a well-respected player and natural leader.
