The following is my (very subjective) list of suggestions of things to do and see in and around Dublin, as well as some of
my favourite pubs. The details are from memory, so please let me have any corrections you may find.
Sights
Trinity College Old library – Book of Kells (highly decorated medieval manuscript)
Dublin Castle Former seat of colonial rule in Ireland; take the guided tour
Christchurch Cathedral In the heart of medieval Dublin
St Patrick’s Cathedral Where Jonathan Swift was dean in the 17th century
National Art Gallery Look for Meeting on a Turret Stair and Caravaggio’s Lady Writing a Letter; also has an
excellent café
Dublin Writers’ Museum
Parnell Square
Find out who Brendan Behan was; and how many Nobel Literature prizes have been
awarded to Irish writers

O’Connell Street
Centre of the Easter Rising in 1916; proclamation of the Irish Republic
Temple Bar Recently renovated arty area with lots of new pubs, shops and cafés; very active at
night
St Stephen’s Green A sanctuary from the bustle of the city’s streets with tree-lined walks, shrubberies,
colourful flowerbeds, herbaceous borders, rockeries, an ornamental lake and a
garden for the visually impaired – lunchtime concerts are performed during the
summer months
Stephen’s Green Centre Big, bright, varied shopping centre
Botanic Gardens Huge selection of exotic plants, including tropical hothouse

Around Dublin
Casino,
Malahide Road, Marino
The most important neo-classical (18th century) building in Ireland, one of the finest in
Europe, situated on the Malahide Road, just beyond Fairview
Howth About 15 km north east of Dublin; fishing and leisure port; take a walk around Howth
Head for a fine view of Dublin Bay
Malahide Castle Set on 250 acres of park land in the pretty seaside town of Malahide; the hall of the
castle is one of the purest specimens of Norman architecture in Ireland
Enniskerry,
Co Wicklow
Pretty village in the mountains about 30 km from Dublin; nearby Powerscourt Gardens
and Waterfall are well worth a visit; have a jar in Johnny Fox’s on the way back to
Dublin
Glendalough,
Co Wicklow
Early Christian monastic site founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Set in a
glaciated valley with two lakes, the monastic remains include a superb round tower,
stone churches and decorated crosses.
Newgrange,
near Slane, Co Meath
Well preserved Stone Age passage grave, older than both the Great Pyramid of Giza
and Stonehenge

je rajouterais juste en fin de soirée commander une baby Guiness, moins connue que sa grande soeur mais très irlandais tout de même, enfin pour les amateurs de fish and chips je conseillerais le Leo Burdocks en bout de Dame Street, qui est de loin le meilleur fish & chips de Dublin.
En tout cas profitez bien de cette bonne vieille ville de Dublin qui est endroit parfait pour faire la fête !

combien faut-il compter pour une pinte de guiness, voire une pinte de blonde ?
Quid du budget repas ?

La pinte est à 5 euros en moyenne, 5,5 euros à Temple bar ou moins ca dépend des Pubs. De toute façon il ne faut voir que de la Guinness lol

Pour manger dans des resto c'est un plus cher qu'en France mais reste les kebas et macdo au pire

Par contre un petit conseil d'ami, dans le pub temple bar notamment vérifié bien la monnaie qu'ils vous rendent lorsque vous commandez des tournées...
Parce que d'une tournée à l'autre ça peux beaucoup varier...
Normalement ils doivent vous filer un ticket de caisse,à chaque fois, vérifié ce qu'ils vous rendent ça évite de mauvaise surprise, surtout le lendemain quand on émerge et qu'on sort les tickets de sa poche...

Expérience personnelle !!!

Et ceux qui sont Fans de Lager (bière blonde) un autre petit conseil : LA HARP !!!!! Franchement elle est terrible !

Et effectivement "Kilmainham Gaol" : j'en garde un souvenir très intense, que d'émotions qui nous parcourent l'échine .

Moi, jaimerais visiter shutter island! ok je sors...

pas touche a notre lieu de pèlerinage , on va leur montrer aux irlandais que l'armée rouge n'est rien a coté de l'armée jaune
